Current Projects

1.Wise Waves point of care ultrasound training program for healthcare providers in Puerto Rico –  to establish a continuing education program and sonography imaging reading practice serving chiropractors and other healthcare providers in Puerto Rico.

2. Chiropractic student programmatic metacompetency outcomes and perceptions after the introduction of a novel muscoloskeletal (MSK) point of care ultrasound training program – to determine educational outcomes of chiropractic students trained in MSK ultrasound as part of the SoC Advanced Anatomy course.

3. The Effects of Spinal Manipulation on Serum Vitamin D and C-Reactive Protein Levels in Puerto Rican Adults with Chronic Low Back Pain: A Feasibility Study for a Randomized Control Trial – to evaluate the association of chemical biomarkers in the blood with low back pain in Puerto Rican adults, and to subsequently determine the treatment outcomes of spinal manipulate therapy.

4. Catastrophic Seizure Syndromes: Introducing Whole Plant Cannabinoid Nonpharmaceutical Treatment Protocols in a Young Male (under review) – to describe a case of a child with a severe epileptic encephalopathy and the clinical outcomes of whole plant CBD supplementation and lifestyle modifications.
